St. Matthew Lodge #670 has been a cornerstone of Freemasonry in Miami since its establishment in April 1958 under the leadership of Worshipful Master Alexander Lucas. As a Prince Hall Affiliated lodge, we are committed to upholding the principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth, serving both our members and the broader community with dedication and integrity.
🏛️ Our Legacy
For over six decades, St. Matthew Lodge #670 has been at the forefront of Masonic leadership in Florida. Our members have held various state grand offices within different Masonic houses, contributing significantly to the growth and influence of Freemasonry throughout the state. Notably, our lodge pioneered the “zone concept,” a structural innovation now widely adopted across our jurisdiction.
🤝 Community Engagement
Our commitment extends beyond the walls of our lodge. We actively support and assist other lodges and our community through financial guidance, direction, and purposeful initiatives. Our members dedicate their time and efforts to various community-based institutions, including schools, parks, recreational facilities, and support for individuals experiencing homelessness. We also remain steadfast in our duty to care for our distressed brothers, their widows, and orphans.
